Kayla's First Plane Ride

All in all she did great. We were able to get to the front of the line in the Atlanta airport security line and had no trouble getting to our gate on time. In fact our flight was delayed so we didn't end up taking off until close to 8pm. Kayla ate and looked around during the first half of the flight and then slept heavily the rest of the way, even through the bumpy landing. I held her the whole time going up and she was attracting quite a crowd.

During our trip Kayla was able to see my Mom Barbara, my stepdad Parnie, my aunt, uncle, and all cousins, and Kayla was able to meet her great-grandparents. Also, we had dinner with my other aunt and uncle on my Dad's side. We took the family photos, got together for some delicious meals, and hung around the house. Kayla was a little fussier than usual but got better by the last day or two.

For the trip home Cary upgraded us to first class to have some more leg room (I joked that first-class people pay NOT to have kids up there). She was a little more fussy this time. She slept the first half of the ride and fussed the last half but feel asleep shortly after we got in the car to go home.

Here's a few pictures from the trip:

Looking out the window on the plane.

Getting a bath in the sink.

Soooo tired from all her travels.
